1) Right click on your Desktop. 2) Go to new option and choose winRAR ZIP archive. 3) Rename it of your choice. 4) Now just Drag into that the files or folders you wanna compress. ---->>Files are compressed Number of softwares on internet are found in zip files as they have small size. Some of them are password protected too. There is not too much difference in size after compression but the difference increases with the increase in bulkiness of file or folder which is to be compressed. After compressing them, You can open files directly from compressed folders, or you can extract files before opening them(By using winzip or any other extractor) Compressed folders can be moved to any drive or folder on your computer. You can also share zipped compressed folders with other users, even if they use a different file compression program. You can protect zipped compressed folders with a password. This protects your data if you save it in a shared network folder, attach it to an e-mail message, or move it between work and home on floppy disks. |
