Let me tell you what is a Proxy with a Real Life Example. Using Proxy is like staying a in Hotel by a Fake Name. Although person is having a real name then also he is Staying With a Fake name. This means that he/she is using Proxy of Fake Name.Likewise we can also use Proxy on Internet. Proxy Server: Proxy server acts as an intermediary between you and your server. When you request a resource(Webpage or file) then it connects you to it through Proxy server instead of connecting you directly through your server. Internet Proxy: It is a way to use someone another's Identity i.e IP(Internet Protocol) and hide our real IP on internet using Proxy Server. When a person connects to the Internet, he is Provided with a unique IP that acts as a unique address of that person. To hide our real identity on internet we need to use Proxy. You can Hide IP by using Fake IP in Browser and also through Proxy Websites. To know how to hide IP through Proxy Websites read my previous post Hiding IP through Proxy Websites Proxies are of two types:
One MUST always Choose Anonymous IP's. How to do it?
Suppose we have a IP 11.12.13.14:80. Then after semicolon the number that is written is the port number through which it will connect. In this IP, 80 is the port number.
To UNDO these settings follow above steps till fourth step and then in Fifth step, click on No Proxy Option and then ok. Proxy settings goes off.
You are done with the proxy settings. Now you can Surf web anonymously in Google Chrome. To UNDO follow the above steps and in the Fifth step Check Mark Automatically Detect Settings and then click ok and then again ok.
